Peak Pictures Photo Library

The Peak-Pictures Photo Library holds a comprehensive collection of photographic images of all areas of the Peak District, with emphasis on the Peak District National Park. As well as the traditional landscape views and visitor attractions, we hold a stock of specialised images connected with countryside issues such as erosion, mineral extraction, access and environmental issues etc. We have an unsurpassed knowledge of the area and can source obscure images, suggest locations or arrange for new pictures to be taken. In addition, we have images from other parts of Britain. All pictures can be supplied digitally, including historical and archived images. The library is constantly updated with new material.

The Photographers

The library features the work of Mike Williams, well known for his work for the National Trust, English Heritage and the Countryside Agency and Ray Manley, the staff photographer for the Peak District National Park Authority.

How to Order Images

Images featured on the Peak-Pictures Photo Library page illustrate the range of images available. There are approx 5000 images available including those from the Peak National Park Authority's image library. Please contact us by e-mail at info@peak-pictures.com or telephone Mike Williams on 01298 85543 where we will individually discuss your needs and send you screen previews for selection.
For reproduction, we supply high resolution RGB colour corrected .tiff or .jpg files online or delivered on CD/DVD.
Transparencies can be supplied for many of the images if required.

Reproduction Fees

Charges, based on reproduction size and type of usage are as follows:
(Based on an A4 page size)
Up to 1/8 page size £45
Up to 1/4 page size £55
Up to 1/2 page size £70
Up to 3/4 page size £85
Full page £105
Front Cover £125

Other uses such as covers, posters, A.V. productions, web site use, rates are negotiable. All fees are subject to VAT at the current rate.

The Peak Pictures Photo Library may licence images for reproduction on the following terms:

* Copyright. All images within the library are copyright and are NOT in the public domain.

* Peak Pictures Photo Library is holding and protecting the copyright for ©Mike Williams, ©Peak District National Park Authority, ©Ray Manley, ©Chris Bentley and ©Nic Broomhead.

* Reproduction of the images in any form whatsoever are forbidden without prior arrangement.

* The rights to reproduce images are granted for specific uses only as agreed by Peak Pictures Photo Library. Digital images may not be reused, redistributed or otherwise passed on to a third party without the permission of the Peak Pictures Photo Library.

* All materials, such as transparencies remain the property of the Peak Pictures Photo Library unless otherwise agreed in writing.

* If transparencies are sent, the borrower will be liable for any loss or damage to transparencies whilst in their care or passed onto a third party. This includes responsibility for the safe return and redelivery by appropriate means. We value each transparency for insurance replacement purposes at £350.

* Transparencies should not be removed from their sleeves except for scanning purposes.

* Transparencies may be kept for up to 1 month. Extensions may be granted subject to a holding fee.

Peak Pictures Equestrian

We attend local riding club events by invitation only. We are happy for event organisers to contact us to discuss attending new venues or additional dates during the season.

In most instances, pictures may be viewed and ordered on the day. Pictures will also be available 24 hours after the event on this web site by clicking the EQUESTRIAN button on the home page. Here you can view the most recent event plus earlier events.

Orders can be taken by e-mail (use the e-mail link) or by telephone. We are unable to accept payment by debit or credit card at present.

Please be aware that by necessity, we are photographing all contestants of all ages. If you (or your children) wish not to be photographed, please make yourself known to us and we will immediately and permanently delete any photographs.
